As we come to the end of another year, and instead of saying, “Where did the year go?” ask yourself just two things.
1. Ask yourself what’s the ONE FEELING you remember most from 2016. Perhaps a feeling of excitement when you think of the goal you achieved, or the feeling of satisfaction for getting something done, or the happiness you felt for just being you.
2. Ask yourself what’s the ONE THING you’d love to achieve more than anything else in 2017. Again, it could be anything, e.g., to find love, to find a cure for cancer, to achieve that great dream of yours…. anything!
Can I share my answers with you?
For 2016, I’m so, so, so proud to see my 18 year old daughter graduate from high school, and the other graduate from University! All my other achievements for the year pale in comparison to this feeling of joy and happiness anytime I think of the two ceremonies I attended!
For 2017, I’d love to achieve this ONE thing more than anything else, and that’s to enjoy anything and everything I do, be it spending time with friends, or reading a book, or finding a cure for cancer, or hitting my business targets. I’m always thinking of what’s next and I often miss the fun and pleasure of the moment. No more!
